It is coming soon… everyone’s favorite time of the year… showing spirit, dancing, watching football and creating many memories… it’s homecoming time!

Homecoming week is October 2nd through the 6th, with the Homecoming Dance concluding the week on Saturday the 7th.

Tickets are currently on sale and can be picked up at the bank. Don’t miss out, get your tickets!

Another fun event during the week of homecoming is spirit wear! Show your school spirit by dressing up everyday in accordance with the themed days listed below.  The Journalism Club will have a photo booth set up at lunch (and during the football game on Friday) to capture candids of you and your friends dressed up in crazy attire. These will be posted on one of the Tiger Journalists social media sites throughout the week.  Participating in Spirit week will give you a chance to win the most spirited award and win a free personalized yearbook!!! (This is a $60 value)

On October 5th Herrin is hosting a Homecoming Coronation held in the Memorial Gym at 7:30 pm, doors open at 7:00 for the public. Entrance into the event is $3.00. We have a coronation to crown the 2017 Homecoming Queen.  It is a time long tradition at Herrin High School, and people from all around come and enjoy a night to honor the girls on homecoming court, the girls and their homecoming escorts are mentioned elsewhere.

The homecoming theme this year is Disney. Come admire and enjoy the magical Homecoming Parade on October 6th at 3pm. The parade will start at Herrin High School and end at the Herrin Junior High.  

Support your Tigers by coming to the football game against the West Frankfort Redbirds.  So far the Tigers are 4-1 and the Redbirds are 3-2, therefore, this should be a good game. Grab your Tiger attire and cheer on the boys while enjoying the annual homecoming court parade around the track. 

 The Homecoming Dance is Saturday October 7th,  7pm to 11pm in the Memorial Gym. Tickets for the Homecoming Dance will be on sale during the week of homecoming at the bank.  Tickets are $15.00 pre-sale and $20.00 at the door before the dance.

YOU CAN NOT ATTEND HOMECOMING IF YOU HAVE FEES OF $40 DOLLARS OR MORE OR IF YOU ARE ON THE U LIST…       PAY YOUR FEES AND ATTEND SCHOOL!!!
