Welcome back Tigers, HHS Journalism hopes everyone had a good Fall Break. To kick off the week, a new horror novel has been chosen.

This week’s book is none other than Clown In a Cornfield, written by Adam Cesare. Clown in a Cornfield was released August 25th, 2020, with a sequel releasing just two years later on August 23rd of 2022.

Moving from Pennsylvania to Missouri after her mothers death, Quinn Maybrook makes some unlikely friends. Her father took up the practice of an ER doctor, but their living arrangements aren’t what Quinn had expected. Joining her new friends at a party, she was having fun until a murderous army of clowns crashed the party.

This novel is a gruesome and horrifying tale to tell; A stereotypical high school party gone wrong in the most Pennywise-meets-Micheal Myers way possible. The author’s writing will leave you cringing and curling your toes at every casualty.

Adam Cesare has written countless horror novels, and many deserve to be read. This week’s novel, Clown in a Cornfield has been checked out 4 times in the past year. Taking into consideration how many students and books there are, that number is quite high.

Come be the next student to read Clown in a Cornfield, happy reading!
