Recently, Herrin gained a new restaurant in the town called India Delight. India Delight opened up in Herrin on January 9, 2023 at 909 S. Park Ave. Since opening the restaurant, people that have experienced the food there have rated it while the Google page has 277 reviews with an average of 4.7 out of 5 stars. These reviews hold up to the restaurant while and although it is relatively pricey, it was well worth it!

 When walking up to the restaurant the excitement started from there. The restaurant consisted of two people, both of them being extremely sweet and welcoming. The environment while walking in was extremely friendly with being told to sit down anywhere. When being sat, the orders for the drinks got asked immediately and we got told to enjoy the buffet. The hospitality was truly great and the food was delicious. Now what kind of food was at this buffet? 

India Delight had a lot of options between Beef Keema and Chicken Curry. While getting a little bit of everything, it was quite good. It all had different textures which made everything stand out between the rest. The food was a bit on the spicy side but still, it was quite delicious. During the meal they brought out a type of flatbread called Naan which was very tasty. We were even able to take Naan home and enjoy it for later. It was a very good treat to have for a late night snack while being able to eat it with anything and still having it taste amazing.

Along with these tasty dishes were the desserts; the desserts consisted of fruit yogurt and some pudding that was honestly outstanding. With it being a bit pricey it is very worth the visit between the people and the food. It feels like somewhere that feels like home and a place to sit and enjoy. So what are you waiting for?
