Congratulations to one of our very own Herrin High School seniors, Brenna Gusewelle! On Tuesday, February 15, during her 4th hour, she was surprised by the SIU Saluki mascot and the admissions team with the Chancellor’s Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship consists of a $103,000 check for Brenna and will allow her to enjoy her college years “without having to worry too much about money.” When asked how she felt about this experience, she said, “I feel incredibly honored to receive this scholarship and will always be grateful to those who decided I would be a worthy candidate for this award.” She says she will use this scholarship money to help her work towards her Psychology degree and “maybe even go into their medical program.” Congratulations once again, Brenna!
