HHS Musical Senior Spotlight: Alysah Charlet

“I can’t wait to see it all come together.”

Herrin High School’s Musical, “All Together Now!” is coming up! Leading up to the show, the Journalism Team will spotlight the seniors performing in the show.

Alysah Charlet, our very own Herrinite Editor in Chief, is excited to perform in this year’s musical. This is her first musical! She has been involved in theatre through helping on the Tech team, as well as junior direct 3 shows. She has the lead solo in “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” a duet with Ashtyn Pierce, and the solo “Middle of the Moment.”

She’s most excited for Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious because “the dance for the number is so much fun and I can’t wait to see it all come together.” Her favorite musical is Wicked, which she has seen live on Broadway. When asked why she chose to do the musical she said, “I decided to audition because I have never been on stage necessarily, and what better time than to do it my senior year!” One of Alysah’s dream roles is Tracy Turnblad from Hairspray, whom she is excited to be performing as this year.

Performances will be at the Herrin Civic Center, November 14th at 2 pm and 7 pm, and November 15th at 7 pm. Tickets will be sold at the door. For adults, tickets cost $10, students are $5, children under 5 get in free.
