For the past couple of weeks the phrase “Sco Pu Tu Manaa” has taken Twitter and Instagram by storm; however, it leaves many of us wondering, what on earth does this mean? Sco Pu Tu Manaa does not have a direct translation into English but is Hawaiin slang for “What experience does this remind you of?” and “I’ll hit you.”
Yet this is not how it’s being used. Twitter uses this phrase to ask for “opinions” on a subject, opening the comment section for debate of the varying opinions. Many people will post a topic like school, government, pasta, makeup, the list goes on and on. The phrase “Sco Pu Tu Manaa” is simply just a conversation starter if you will.
A new app on the phones of teens, Tik Tok is a social media platform that has recently taken the hearts of high schoolers and teenagers worldwide. The videos do not limit themselves to one specific group. Although Tik Tok was aimed to become “Musical.ly” 2.0, it has taken to be more like Vine.
To add to the nonsense there was a sudden outburst of people trying to figure out what is happening inside Area 51. So many people were interested that an event was planned. Allegedly, an Area 51 raid is supposed to take place on September 20, 2019. Did you RSVP?
