What happens when you combine Spider-man with many other spider-based superheroes? Well Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a great example of this scenario. Teenager Miles Morales is a very artistic kid who loves to draw and admire graffiti art. When he is forced to switch to a prep school, however, he loses time to do what he loves. One night, while working on his graffiti art, he is bitten by a spider. The next day, he realizes he has been given these special powers. Miles is scared, and he starts to seek help. But when an unexpected death occurs, the city is put in a state of mourning. And just when Miles thinks he is all alone, a few unexpected visitors show up.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was one of the best movies in 2018, and received a golden globe for best animated motion picture in January of 2019. The directors of the film thought it would be a great idea to pay homage to the comic book world by making the animation look like you were watching a live comic book. The attention to detail in this movie is incredible, and it definitely looked like you were watching a comic book, something that has never been done in movies until now. The storyline is very unique, putting a teenager who is having a rough time in his life into a scary situation, and teaching him to overcome these problems. It also send a very good message, teaching the viewers to believe in themselves, and to take risks more often, because the reward could be something amazing. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat, and is full of moments that will have you excited, scared, or even a little sad. This movie is definitely a must see for anyone who is a fan of superheros of any kind, and deserves a 9/10!
