The year is 2045. Civilization has split into two demographics: the rich and the poor. However, there is a middleground where all are equal. The Oasis. A virtual reality simulation of a video game world where the only thing that matters is skill, and finding the easter eggs made by James Halliday, the creator of Oasis. The easter eggs consist of three keys that, when combined, give the player immense amounts of wealth and complete control over Oasis. Innovative Online Industry (IOI) wants control over the Oasis and recruits workers to search the game with the sole task of finding the easter eggs.  IOI will loan Oasis gear to people – but for a high price. If people fail to pay back IOI, then they are subject to slavery. Our protagonist, Wade Watts, wants to fight this system. He and his friends make a team with famous player and fellow gunter (easter egg hunter) Art3mis in order to beat IOI to the final egg. For anyone who loves movies or games, Ready Player One features cameos for everyone, from the Iron Giant (Iron Giant) to Tracer (Overwatch). This movie shows viewers a great example for a perfect video gaming world. Overall, this movie lives up to it’s expectations, and earns 8 easter eggs out of 10.
