A Smashing Hit
April 16, 2018
On November 3, 2017, a movie by the name Thor: Ragnarok was released to movie theaters in the U.S., and gained a great reputation for itself. The film reaches a slightly longer duration of two hours and ten minutes then slides in pieces of combat to keep the audience intrigued the whole time. Thor: Ragnarok is centered around our protagonist and Norse god of thunder, Thor, as he desperately tries to return to his home planet, Asgard, before it is destroyed. Throughout this already gargantuan feat, he must complete his tasks without his hammer by his side.
The man behind Thor, Chris Hemsworth, was a wild card for the marvel series, but turned out to be a rather successful piece to this story line. The plot seems like a slightly more joking manner to offer the audience a sci-fi action movie. Marvel has taken, for the most part, a serious movie plot and turned it into a lighter tone. This is one of Marvel’s better movies in the more recent years with great visual effects, and if done correctly, can produce several more amazing movies within Thor’s adventures.
Overall, this film has a few tweaks that could be changed, and earns 6 Mjolnir’s out of 10.
