The flag team traveled to Glenwood High School on October 6th to kick off their competition season, at a sub comp to IDTA, Start the Beat.

The team competed in varsity and junior varsity solo’s.  Caitlynn Burns, Sydney Hudson, Hannah Warren, and Cecily Smith competed in varsity solo’s. Competing in the junior varsity level was Faith Hacker and Becca Wilson. Cecily Smith won first place and was crowned grand champion. Sydney Hudson placed second. This gives both of girls an automatic bid to IDTA state. For the junior varsity team Becca Wilson was also crowned grand champion.

Their next IDTA competition will be December 2nd at Herrin for the first time in school history.
