Child activist, Greta Thunberg gives a speech.

It has been complete. Area 51 has been raided and to say the least, it was very anti-climatic. Did anyone actually storm Area 51? To my knowledge, no. A group of people stood outside of the Area 51 gates marching and chanting “Clap them cheeks” among many other phrases. I was quite disappointed to find that no one truly got to “see the aliens”.

In other media news, Twitter has been flooded with images and posts from the student strike on the climate crisis that took place on September 20, 2019. Students all across our nation skipped school and took to the streets to show their care and concern for our worldwide climate crisis. Students made signs and chants to let world leaders know exactly how they felt about their futures being stolen from their hands.

Greta Thunberg, a sixteen year old girl from Sweden, is at the head of the climate strikes.  She began campaigning for climate crisis by encouraging her fellow students and those around the world to leave schools on Friday to convince world leaders to take control over climate change.  Greta has stayed loyal to her battle despite the hate from many world leaders and politicians, including our own President.

Also last week, Apple made the iPhone 11 public. The phone is set to be released on November 3, 2019. The new iPhone has a whopping three back cameras, and the people of the internet refused to let this slide by. Memes of the camera flooded all forms of social media in droves. Some compared the camera to the top of an electric stove while others photoshopped numerous other cameras onto the backside of the phone just to complete the look. Others say the iPhone 11 can affect those with trypophobia, a fear of irregular patterns and/or clusters of holes or bumps. How do you feel about the new iPhone?
