As August comes to a close, Homecoming festivities are approaching fast as ever. Coronation will take place on Thursday September 26, 2019 in the Memorial gym. Coronation honors the young women of Herrin that were voted onto the court by their peers. 

The Queen’s Court is made up of the top four seniors, Mia Connor, Gina McCarthy, Molly Childers, and Charli Elliot. These four will have a chance at the crown. The high court for the senior class is Lexi Price, Hailee Cox, Bianca Hudson, Shanie May, Caitlyn Kochan, Madisyn Blankenship, Taylor Gump, and Sofia Hughes.

The junior class has two high court attendants, Olivia Dean and Whitney Keel, and four honored guests, Breanna Nesler, Julia Mohr, Emmalea Bacon, and Kylee Evrard. The sophomore class high court attendants are Taylor Cornelius and Regan Deaton, and the three honored guests Karley Keel, Anna Carlson, and Meghyn Blankenship. Sydney Allen and Taylor Lamb are the high court attendants for their class and Jenna Sissom and Madison Elliott will be the honored guests for the freshman class. 

Coronation this year will be engulfed with decorations from Around The World, a showcase of cultures and countries all across the globe. As the names were announced Tuesday August 27, 2019 a flurry of excitement overtook the school. Let the homecoming festivities begin!
