Every pale girls knows the struggle of finding the perfect shade of foundation. If it’s too dark your face is a completely different color than your neck, but if it’s too light you look like a ghost in pictures.  But finding a perfect medium may not be as hard as you think.

While strolling through the aisles of Ulta and Sephora you may have noticed the tiny, yellow “New” sticker next to Too Faced’s Born This Way  foundations. The brand recently came out with 6 new shades ranging from fair to dark so everyone can find their perfect foundation to match their skin tone. Too Faced also released matching concealers for each of their new foundations.

If you’re like me, you automatically look for the lightest shade of foundation that a line carries.  For several months I was wearing the “snow” shade of the Born This Way foundation.  It worked great for me during the summer and fall but as winter rolled around I noticed that it was becoming too dark for my skin. I went to Sephora to talk to a makeup consultant to see what foundation they had in mind for me. I was wary to try a new line of foundation because Born This Way was a perfect match for my skin type. But just to my luck, Too Faced did it again.

Their new ivory foundation, Swan, was a match made in heaven for my skin tone. The foundation was the same lightweight, yet full coverage, matte formula that I fell in love with less orange/yellow undertones. Paired with the right primer and setting spray, Swan gives me that “I just did my makeup like 10 minutes ago” look all day long. I give this foundation a 10 out of 10 and would recommend it to anyone looking for a new foundation.
